Kids Merry Christmas Layout

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi everyone! It's Julie here back on the blog today sharing a Chrismtas layout created using papers from the "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" Collection by Ultimate Crafts and dies from the "Let Every Day Be Christmas" Collection by Couture Creations. I wanted to make a fun layout which is quite a challenge as these papers are very formal. But I managed to make it all work to compliment the photo of my nephew Matty at his daycare Chrismtas party :)

I've taken the green plaid patterned paper from the 12x12 paper pack and a piece of Ultimate Crafts Battle Fatigue cardstock to use as the base for this layout. The cardstock has been trimmed down so you can see the plaid paper behind it forming the border. I then used some Anna Griffin Texture Paste with the Be Merry Holly Flourish stencil and randomly stenciled around the area where the photograph and embellishments were to be placed. I've also randomly stamped two images from the To Be Jolly 5x7 Embossing Folder and Stamp Set in green and red ink to add some more interest to the background.

I took some scraps of the same plaid patterned paper and some of the deep green snowflake paper and cut them into random sized pieces to form a mat for the photo. These were all inked with red ink for some contrast. I die cut a Snowflake Doily from some Ultimate Crafts Shamrock cardstock which I cut down and placed around the photo. The sprigs were die cut using the Pine Needles Die Set with some DieCut&Bond tape placed onto cardstock. I removed the backing and adhered with some Green Mirror foil. I've die cut some red glitter cardstock using the Winter Corner Die and Merry Christmas Sentiment Die and the flower was sprayed with red spray ink. Some gems and pearls scattered around the layout and we're done! :)

Foiled Christmas Cards

Foiled Christmas Cards

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi everyone! It's Julie here back on the blog today sharing some cards that I made using dies from the "Let Every Day Be Christmas Collection" from Couture Creations. These cards are quick and easy to make and in any colour scheme that you like. I chose these colours as they have been on trend for a few years now, especially for tree decorations. You could even colour coordinate your cards to the colour scheme you use for Christmas this year! :)

For the card bases I've used the Couture Creations A6 cards in White. I created the background layer using the Christmas Baroque Background Die and heat activated foils in each of the four colours shown. The die cut embellishments were created using some Die Cut and Bond Tape on white cardstock and craft foam. The craft foam is great for that extra dimension and still flat enough for the post. Each background was matted onto coordinating cardstock and adhered to the card base.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like.. Christmas Cards

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi everyone! It's Julie here back on the blog today sharing two very different Christmas Cards created using the same collection - "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" from Ultimate Crafts.

For the first card I've used one of the Couture Creations Square Cards in Cream as the base. I've cut down two pieces of the patterned papers from the It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas 12x12 paper pad to make two layers on the card. Both layers were inked with red ink. For the "mat" I've used 6mm double sided tape and stuck down some Christmas Green heat foil. It gives a really nice faux layer effect. This is a good way to keep your cards less bulky for mailing too.

I've used the Ornate Christmas Frame hot foil stamp from the "Let Every Day Be Christmas" collection and foiled a piece of acetate using Gold Mirror heat foil. The acetate I have used is the Couture Creations Acetate Sheets which is 0.25mm thick. It came out beautifully, I was very surprised. I did have another piece buckle but if this happens, just pop it back onto the GoPress and Foil Machine to reheat, then remove when flat. I die cut the sentiment using the Merry Christmas die from Ultimate Crafts Verdant cardstock then heat foiled it using the Christmas Green foil.

To that I added one of the Couture Creations English Roses and a berry sprig from my stash. I've coloured the flower with Liquid Drops and Glitzen Glamour playing off the flowers in the patterned paper.

For the second card I've used another of the Couture Creations Square Cards this time in White. I've cut down some Ultimate Crafts Rubellite cardstock to mat the vellum layer. I wanted to use dies and an embossing folder, so I chose the First Snow embossing folder and the Snowflake Decorative Die Set. Being snow and snowflakes they compliment each other perfectly.

I've used vellum for the embossed layer as it looked more like snow and "pops" from the red background behind it. The snowflakes were cut using Ultimate Crafts Rubellite cardstock and heat foiled with red mirror foil. I've added some 2mm gemstones in Crystal to add some extra sparkle to the snowflakes.

For the greeting I've hot foiled some of the red mirror foil onto some white silk ribbon. The sentiment is the Season's Greetings Candle hot foil stamp set. The results you get with this technique is gorgeous. Your friends and family will think it's store bought! :)
