Kaisercraft Uncharted Waters Layout

Monday, December 09, 2019 0 Comments
Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout that I've created using the Uncharted Waters Collection from Kaisercraft. Being a lover of the beach, the water and all things nautical, I couldn't resist buying this collection.

Trim 1/4 inch from each side of the "Pelagic" 12x12 patterned paper.

Cut out the centre of the "Streak" 12x12 patterned paper leaving approximately a 1 inch (minimum) boarder. Put the centre piece aside, it will be used for photo matting.

Fussy cut the fish net from the "Hook" 12x12 patterned paper. Set aside leftovers for photo matting later. Fussy cut the outside edges of the fish net so it's not straight edged. This will be used to frame your photo.

Triple mat your photo using the leftovers from earlier. I have used the "Hook" spots first then the reverse side second, then "Streak" third. Distress all edges.

Splatter some white paint/gesso around the edge of the page and adhere the layers and photo as shown. I have used some cardboard to pop up the fish net so it's level with the photo.

Next take the Collectables and Sticker Book from the Uncharted Waters Collection and embellish the page as shown.

Trace around the water bubbles with white gel pen to make them pop.

Here is my finished layout plus close up photos so you can see how I've created and embellished the page.

Kaisercraft Lady Like Layered Layout

Sunday, December 08, 2019 0 Comments
Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout and quick tutorial using the Lady Like Collection from Kaisercraft. I had so many ideas and wasn't sure which way to go, but eventually I settled on using lots of layers. This collection is so versatile, you can either use each colour separately or combined as I have done here. It's such a soft, feminine, romantic collection that could be used for all occasions.

Here is my layout plus close ups and a brief description of how I created and embellished the page.

To start, I've taken the "Gertrude" 12x12 patterned paper to use as the base for this layout.

Take the "Delores" 12x12 patterned paper and cut it down to 11.5"x11.5".

Take the "Elsie" patterned paper and cut it down to 10.75"x10.75".

Next take another sheet of "Delores" 12x12 patterned paper and cut it down to 10.5"x10.5" (Note: flip this piece over so the pink side is showing).

Once you have these layers, cut out a 9.25"x9.25" square piece from the "Gertrude" base leaving approximately a two inch border on the base piece. This cut out piece will be another layer.

Then take a second sheet of "Elsie" 12x12 patterned paper and cut it down to 8.75"x8.75" making sure to measure from the bottom left so you include the floral pattern. Distress and assemble all layers as shown below.

Take the "Rose" 12x12 patterned paper and fussy cut all flowers from the page. Adhere to the layout as shown. Next, take the "Patsy" 12x12 patterned paper and fussy cut all elements from the page. You will need the lace frame which I have cut down and adhered as shown below. The pink lace strip is from the sticker book, you will need both of these.

Because there's so many layers, I popped the photo up on some cardboard to give the layout some extra dimension.

Once you have this base down, add further floral and elements from both pages and sticker book. Assemble as shown in the finished layout below. Randomly add some pink pearls around the page and on the floral photo cluster. Add some black pearls to the body of both butterflies.

Here are some close up photos of my finished layout so you can see how I've embellished the page.

Colour Blast by Bee Arty Creative Corner November Challenge

Sunday, December 08, 2019 0 Comments
Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my entry into Colour Blast by Bee Arty's  November challenge. The challenge is to use at least three Colour Blast products on a project using colours from the Warm Colour Palette i.e. yellows, oranges, reds.

I decided to go loud and dramatic for this layout using the red, orange and yellows from the Inspired Watercolour Collection. I had some extra black and white selfie photos already printed so I decided to just use them. They really popped against the colourful background and flowers.

Here is my finished layout plus close ups so you can see how I've created and embellished the page.
